Korfball was affiliated to the Developing Sports Federation of Türkiye in 2008.

Founded on December 21, 2006, the Developing Sports Federation first operated in the sports branches of Cricket, Korfball, Luge and Rafting. In 2008, the Luge Sports Branch was separated from the federation. In 2009, the Motonotic (Offshore) sports branch and the Squash sports branch were included in the federation, and in 2013, the Turkish Air Sports Federation and the Turkish Digital Games Federation were included in the Developing Sports Federation as sports branches. In 2015, the Surfing sports branch was affiliated with the federation. The Air Sports branch, which developed while it was a sub-branch of our Federation, became a Federation in 2016 and left the Developing Sports Federation.

The Federation, which became self-governing last year, includes a total of 7 sports branches.

Hasan ÖZTÜRK, who was elected as the President of the Federation at the Extraordinary General Assembly held on 21 August 2014, was re-elected as the President of the Federation at the 4th Ordinary General Assembly held on 20 February 2017.
