History
1st U21 WKC in 2018
The first every U21 World Korfball Championship was hosted by the Hungarian Korfball Association in Budapest, Hungary. From 7 – 14 July 11 countries battled to become the first U21 World Champion. The participant were:
Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, England, Turkey, China, Hong Kong China, Chinese Taipei, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary.
The organisation of this tournament was excellent, as is usually the case when the Hungarian Korfball Association hosts IKF events. The final was an exiting match between the Netherlands and Belgium, in which the Netherlands managed to became the world champion with only three goals difference. The end results was 18 for Belgiuma and 21 for the Netherlands. During this event Krisztina Pogany was awarded the IKF Pin of Merit for all her great efforts put into the organisation of IKF events and the spread and development of korfball in Europe.

IKF U21 Korfball World Cup 2021
The U19 and U21 events in 2020 and the first part of 2020 were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To give the youth category an option to participate in an international event, the IKF decided to organise a one-time IKF U21 Korfball World Cup. The event was originally scheduled to take place in France, but got relocated to the Czech Republlic due to COVID-19 rules in France. The event marked the restart of the international tournament competition calender, as it was the first IKF event in over 1.5 years time.
